Like this: http://www.bambooandrattan.com/catalog/specialty.htm but within the borders of European union (for shipping & customs reasons). I'm looking for a place where you could give the length and diameter of the material, possibly also the density of nodes for custom orders. The problem with most sellers is that they have set lengths & diameter and are quite expensive (compared to the one above). - Marko --__--__-- Message: 2 From: "William Schultz" To: eskrima@martialartsresource.net Date: Thu, 10 Feb 2005 06:34:38 -0500 Subject: [Eskrima] Stick source Reply-To: eskrima@martialartsresource.net Hi N8, I've been buying in bulk from Franks for a while. My guys tend to rip through them fairly quickly in full power ranging and bridging training. They are generally hard to beat for the price though. I prefer getting 1" and up but they should have what your looking for. Now, I have to be honest and say that the last batch that I bought from them weren't very good. I've had better luck having them cut down the longer 9' lengths for 30 -31" sticks. More expensive but generally makes a good, dense stick. Also, you can't go wrong with Nick's stuff at bloodsport. Train hard and give my regards to Nerrin. William New England Pekiti-Tirsia Pitbulls Mongrel Combative Systems --__--__-- Message: 3 Date: Thu, 10 Feb 2005 14:36:20 +0300 From: "Steven C. LOL Nearly everything I wrote was actually about Huang Di, circa 2500 BC. The other guy, who lived about 200 BC, was named Qin Shi Huang, not Huang Di (though he is sometimes called the Yellow Emperor). He did start the Great Wall and try to burn the books, but all the other, mythical stuff belongs to the earlier guy. And trying downloading and reading the Special Edition that came out a little while back. An article on the owner of ED Mr. Ray Terry, which I was very happy to get. - As far as I know, he is not a member of the ED forum, and he has his own organization and forum. - I do believe he was a member of the ED in the past. And anyway information is good no matter who belongs to whatever etc etc. The idea of the FMAdigest is an informational online magazine which hopes to go hard copy in the future. It is free, it is open for all who want to submit an article on FMA, it is not one of the big guys like Black Belt, Inside KungFu etc. It is for anyone that is interested and to get the unknown styles, martial arts practitioners etc out there for others to know about them. And also to give out information that "and excuse the term "big mags" would most likely never publish. You got an article? You know something? Submit it. Which shows that someone has an incorrect calender - there's just no way that the Jewish peoples could have survived 1300+ years without Chinese food. But that's from a China survey class, back in the late 80s. I may indeed have my emperors confused. WoodyTX On Thu, 10 Feb 2005 14:36:20 +0300, Steven C.
