At least Inayan Escrima DVDs produced by Abanico are available in US as NTSC-versions. Reply-To: eskrima@martialartsresource.net Hi, what was said was correct so far, NTSC plays in Europe, PAL does'nt play in the US. BUT there is a way: You can play all PAL DVDs on your Laptop and computer in the US, because the computers have nothing to do with the TV- standards like PAL, NTSC or SECAM in France. This way you can watch PAL productions, for example my ABANICO DVDs that are not available in NTSC yet ;-) , without having to buy a multi norm DVD player. Academy of Martial Arts Reply-To: eskrima@martialartsresource.net LOL. That's a sad truth. I had a temp job once - crappiest job I've ever had - and I was standing there listening to the people around me talk and it suddenly dawned on me that about 90% of the people I was working with had never been outside of Jefferson County, Kentucky and some of them had never been out of their township. I would mention my trip to, for instance, Denmark and they'd look at me like I'd grown another arm in the center of my chest. In fact, just mentioning a trip to a different state would throw many of them. Little towns like that are difficult to get to have people relax and accept you due to the fact that they have never lived anywhere but 50miles from where they grew up. I like miliary towns not only do you find an array of people to train with, but you also get people who have ventured to other parts of the world for the job and with that comes a more well rounded person.
