Everything Andrew and Tom said - true. My overall fitness has gone way up. These folks know their stuff, and they are willing to go in the face of "conventional wisdom" to get results - they care about results, not theory. I got into it because a bunch of BJJ folks (BJ Penn, Garth Taylor, Dave Camarillo) started swearing by it. I rolled with a CF guy, and was impressed not only by his strength, but by the fact that he just did not gas (run out of energy while sparring). After a few months of doing CF I've noticed a similiar improvement in myself - I can now let opponents (even younger or more experienced opponents) wear themselves out, then finish them when they're gassing. Other CF'ers notice the same thing. And it's not because we're doing hours of "cardio", trust me. The other cool thing about CF is that they're giving it away for free. There is no charge. That's one of my issues with Mr. Furey, Mr. Ruten, et. al. - big marketing campaign, "Buy my many tapes", etc. Go to the CF website, the WOD (Workout of the Day) is posted. No charge. You can (if you want, and I suggest it) subscribe to the monthly CF journal for a whopping $25 per year. No videos to buy, no secret techniques you can learn if you buy more stuff. Of course, there's a catch. The workouts are brutal. One of the CF slogans is "It doesn't have to be fun to be fun." Not a system to use if you want to just talk about it - you gotta do it. Also, it's not a "bodybuilding" protocol - the goal is not to "double your bicep size" or to "shape your butt" or whatever. The goal is a high level of overall fitness that you can use in your daily life. Rant over... The movie was based on the Destroyer series of books. Awesome books. They're like cotton candy - not a lot of nutritionaly value but they taste good and go fast. Ironically, the martial arts in them is sometimes actually based on real martial arts but then it's exaggerated to the point of humorous fiction. The website you linked to looks to me like the bio of a fictional character used in a role playing game. Run a search for "sinanju" though and you'll come up with a lot of links to things related to the series of books and the movie: "Remo Williams: The Adventure Begins" Mike --- Clint Cayson wrote: > Hi Peter, > > Thanks for reading.
