This is why I found the recent posts by Jonathan Kessler and Loki Jorgensen on using nunchaku to improve flow interesting. Those who play golf may be familiar with the practice club which is marketed with the same principle in mind - the club is hinged and breaks with anything but a smooth swing. Even a minor acceleration at take away, hitting from the top or even incomplete follow-through will activate the hinge. Presumably the end result is the same: greater clubhead/stick speed and more power. Also great minds think alike... Michael Koblic, Campbell River, B. Judges look much more favorably on the use of a gun in legitimate self-defense situations...they tend to view knives and sticks as the weapons of thugs, and using a knife or gun is next to impossible to justify when you are standing before the man. You can take my word for this or not, but I've worked in law enforcement for damned near 20 years, at both the county and state levels, so I know the law in regard to defending oneself.
