Reply-To: eskrima@martialartsresource.net I concur. See a lawyer! However, I recommend asking a lawyer who specializes in that area. And this is coming from someone with a law degree who regularly negotiates contracts on intellectual property issues. If you need help finding a lawyer who specializes in boxing or fighters, call your local bar association. Not knowing where you are located, here's a website in the Philadelpia area: http://www.eventslaw.com/CustomPage_3.shtml Spend a hundred (or two) now instead of losing thousands (or millions) down the road. Just think about all the famous boxers who were taken advantage of. Ricky, There is exactly one thing you need to know about this contract: SEE A LAWYER. You wouldn't let a kid who'd never put on a pair of gloves step into the ring with a pro boxer. You don't let yourself or your fighter step into the legal ring with this guy. You need a lawyer who's done a lot of contract law to look over this and tell you what's going on. It's more than worth the couple hundred bucks to pay for his time. Otherwise you're a guppy swimming with sharks.
