Police say Andrew Jacobs, 42, of Vienna is charged with burglary, two counts of abduction and four counts of assault after he allegedly broke into their Vienna home late Saturday. Jacobs taught the girls martial arts at a Vienna school, and apparently did a pretty good job, judging by the bruises seen on his face in court Monday. Police say he got a black eye and other injuries when the girls fought back during the break in. The girls also managed to partially pull off a mask Jacobs was wearing, and they also recognized his voice. The parents hit Jacobs over the head with a lamp. A judge is ordering Jacobs held without bond on assault, abduction and burglary charges. (Copyright 2005 by WTOP Radio and The Associated Press. I can't do or say much about that aspect of their relationships or their disagreements. I wasn't really aware of them at the time. Danny (who I only met a few times) was rarely if ever around the school. Part of the reason for my participating here is to reconnect with the martial arts community and culture that I loved. Its been a long time since this all occurred and as I said, for all practical purposes, American Arnis is dead as a system. - - - - Message: 1 From: "Danny Anderson" To: eskrima@martialartsresource.net Date: Sat, 01 Oct 2005 17:06:21 +0000 Subject: [Eskrima] RE: Answers re: American Arnis Reply-To: eskrima@martialartsresource.net Hi David, There is one thing left out of the history of American Arnis and that is it royally pissed Remy off.  I was in the Pacific Northwest when it occurred and was in communication with Danny DiVito as well.  Mike was one of his students at the time.  I remember Remy getting very hot about it.  I never met Jeff but from all accounts, he was talented.
