Wong happened to be one of Yip Man's students. Wong was also know as the King of Fists as he had many roof top fights - and proved that the system does work. Before meeting Yip Man, Wong was a boxer and after meeting Yip Man......Well the story goes that he was converted to Wing Chun. Anyway Sifu Gary Lam also has a very good reputation as well as being Wong's Head Instructor for 15 years. You also made comments on power in strikes etc.. Wing Chun is a skeletal system and relies on  structure. By its scientific nature the structure and density of human bones are generally similar and stronger than muscle. Whereas the muscle content and strength of humans varies from individual to individual. Hope this helps a little.
