Reply-To: eskrima@martialartsresource.net Personally, I'd just like to see someone try steer this back to the list topic of ESKRIMA. Otherwise, I'm sure there is a more suitable forum for this type of dialogue elsewhere. Using Michael Jordan as an example is somewhat misleading -- in addition to supreme physical talent, he was a genuine "plugger" who invested A LOT of time and effort improving all the facets of his game, and his conditioning. THAT'S what made him the greatest basketball player ever. Look at Larry Bird -- aside from being tall, he wasn't really that physically gifted. But hard work allowed him to play at the very highest level in the NBA... How about getting back to Eskrima-FMA Digest topics... Or maybe 'unnatural fighters', that is perhaps a more interesting topic for discussion. :) Thanks. Reminds me a bit of some idiot over in our sister email forum the_dojang that was announcing a few years back that he wanted to assemble a group of volunteers to go over and resolve the issues in the Bosnia area (this was back during the war there). He was looking for Black Belt volunteers and the unit's claim-to-fame would be that they were totally unarmed... Why? Because they were all Black Belts and therefore would need no weapons. None. Zip. Zero. !!!
