Does > anyone know how Wally Jay became prof. Wally Jay? > It is a title that is used in Danzan Ryu jujitsu, which was the style Prof. Jay learned and practiced before creating small-circle jujitsu. I'm not sure how it came to be used, or what the exact criteria are for it, but it's generally used to refer to someone very senior in rank, who's been at it for a very long time. --__--__-- Message: 2 From: Ray To: eskrima@martialartsresource.net (Eskrima) Date: Mon, 9 Jan 2006 06:33:25 -0800 (PST) Subject: [Eskrima] Titles Reply-To: eskrima@martialartsresource.net > In the academic environment, a teacher or instructor only teaches but a > professor must teach and also write and publish a book. In fact something along these lines has been on my project list for some time. $240 sounds like a good price. Does anyone have a direct experience with it? Is the arm tension realistic? Does it come apart after a few blows? Michael Koblic, Campbell River, B.
