I first met and saw him in Orlando, Florida at the World Sokeship Council MA Hall of Fame in 2000. I believed he is from Switzerland, a huge man, and if you saw his MA bio,,one cannot be awed by all of his accomplisments and ranks from several MA systems as well as watching him conduct a demonstration of his arts..A well rounded martial artist indeed!! At that time, he was already hooked on FMA and GM Ernesto Presas. He too has a Travel business aside from MA and so, I would not be surprised if he had been to Hinigaran, Negros, Philippines to GM Presas yearly Combatan Training as well as hosting FMA seminars in his homeland. One personal note,,he hanged out with the us Filipino contingents and went with us to GM Raffy Pambuan House and ate filipino food. Present were FMA Grandmasters Abon Baet, Taboada, Presas, Lazo and several of us Masters. Now,,this is special to filipinos coming from someone who shows not only an interest in our art but also be among us. If he was promoted to the rank,,in my opinion it was not a fluke or anything else as the man so clearly has the capabilities as well as inter-personal traits. A huge man that likes to eat adobo and drink san miguel with good people. I for one would have loved to attend the Dulo-dulo workshop, but I didn't read your posting in time. A little more advance notice in the future would be greatly appreciated.
