Po was really pleased with the turnout, which included teachers and students  from Kuntaw Kali Kruzada, Pananandata, Vee Arnis Jitsu, VeeDoKwan, and several other disciplines.   Everyone there enjoyed themselves, learned, and got some personal time with Po. This was his first time in NYC in several years, and due to the enthusiastic response, I don’t think we’ll have to wait that long to see him again Thanks again to all the participants; it was you who made the seminar the great success that it was.   Rob Mulligan www.kwikstik.com                         --__--__-- Message: 3 Date: Tue, 4 Apr 2006 16:20:49 -0700 From: "Ray Terry" To: eskrima@martialartsresource.net Subject: [Eskrima] the barangay tanods fought back with their night sticks and arnis Reply-To: eskrima@martialartsresource.net Two tanods hurt in attack by drunks The Manila Bulletin Online Two barangay tanods were wounded when a group of drunken residents stormed a barangay hall in Tondo, Manila after midnight yesterday due to an old grudge. Police arrested one of the attackers, Wilfredo Indimije, 22, a pedicab driver, after the 12:30 a.m. attack at the barangay hall of Barangay 44 at the corner of Mabuhay and Moriones Streets. Wounded in the attack were Artemio Gosalga and Maximo Dionaldo, who bore slash wounds in their hands from the attack by the group who were armed with pen guns, homemade shotguns, a samurai sword, and fan knives. Barangay 44 chairman Ricardo Aguinaldo said Indimije and his gang stormed the village hall due to an old grudge. Aguinaldo said Indimije, a holdup suspect, was arrested a few days earlier by the barangay tanod or watchmen during a saturation drive but was later released. Early yesterday, Indimije and his friends came back with vengeance and were armed with pen guns, homemade shotguns, samurai sword, and fan knives when they attacked the village hall. During the night attack, the barangay tanods fought back with their night sticks and arnis. Members of the Manila Police District (MPD) Special Weapons and Tactics Team who responded to the call for assistance chased the suspects and were able to arrest Indimije, who was reeking of liquor. Indimije was turned over to MPD Station 2 at Plaza Moriones, Tondo. He, however, denied being involved in the attack even as the village watchmen and Aguinaldo positively identified him. His wife, Analyn, a vegetable vendor, also maintained that her husband was innocent. (Joel C.
