I had never heard of whipboxing in Australia until I read that web page. The stock whip is usually used for rounding up cattle whilst seated on a horse and there are cracking competitions with all differnt types of whips - mainly stock and bull whips in the top section of Australia - Queensland, Northern Territory, the top of Western Australia and inland New South Wales - mostly on or at rodeos. Caboolture used to be horse and cattle country up to about 10 years ago, now it is fairly well populated. Reply-To: eskrima@martialartsresource.net Marc McFann talks about his early stickfighting experiences when based in the Philippines.
