As for most of the ones I have met I would have to agree with your opinion but there was this one who was a coach and trained in Muay Thai and with whom I had to work - talk about egos. She was the testing manageress and I was writing test scripts for the same company. Anyway she happened to find out that I did MA and one day came up to me at work and threatened to kick my arse all over the building as Muay Thai was a superior art to anything I was training in." There will always be exceptions. However, I shall contend that women with true overblown ego are rare. The irritating women who act out tend to be ones with inferiority complex finding it difficult to compete in man's world. One sees it less in MA as this is quickly exposed for what it is and the women who stay the course have generally healthy self-confidence as well as awareness of their limits. It is, however, common in the work place. Having said that, there are many men with the same problem and they are relatively common in martial arts. I am sure you know the type. Frankly, a management person threatening physical violence in a work place, whatever the gender, is highly suspect on so many levels. Sometimes, of course, women trade on their gender and behave in a way that would cost a man his front teeth. For a man on the receiving end of this it becomes a no-win situation. But such are complexities of modern life... He was reportedly assassinated inside by members of the Phil Constabulary dressed as inmates on orders of Pres. Marcos. Yet, he predicted his own death to his followers three days before. His last words were, "Ako'y aalis, ngunit ako'y babalik".
