The Brazilians come out to play today! So far the Argentinians have looked the best imho" Thank you, Pat. About the beer. Did you know that the World Cup of beer was held just before the FIFA one and won by Budvar (the real version of Budweiser!). Chorvats were a tad unlucky today, Brazil was not all that impressive and France stunk. For an obligatory Eskrima reference, The Lonely Dog will be happy that they nicked a point... Michael Koblic, Campbell River, BC --__--__-- Message: 3 From: "Mark Stuber" To: Date: Tue, 13 Jun 2006 18:27:30 -0700 Subject: [Eskrima] Panantukan Reply-To: eskrima@martialartsresource.net I was told several years ago that the term Panantukan was created by Lucky Lucaylucay when he was teaching in Stockton. He didn't want to use the term suntukan because it sounded too much like shotokan. This sounded reasonable to me so I can't say I have done any more research on the subject. The answer to the panantukan question followed a rather strong admonition that some people should spend more time in the gymn and less on the computer.
