"3 of 9 Bataang Tuhon" is the third template in a set of nine templates (the third template of nine) that covers vital targets and introduces the Sayoc Kali methodology. The DVD discusses the template, applications (as a whole as well as isolations), ranges of engagement and several other aspects. Hope that helps. Joe Joseph F.C. And if faith is a choice; if faith is never completely understanding God's plan, maybe understanding part of it; our part, is what it is to have a soul. And in the end that's what being human is, after all." Reply-To: eskrima@martialartsresource.net Ken, My answer is that the machete is used for cutting, slashing, hacking and stabbing. The use of the weapon would depend on the proximity you are to the attacker and whatever comes out at the time. The primary use of the weapon is cutting, slashing - Eg: through the jungle or in the cane fields. It is the third in a series of nine nine-count vital templates. Vital templates are target maps of the body that flow in a progression. The DVD covers some basics of the training progression for the drill. You can see a list of the contents as well as video clips at: http://sayoc.com/product_info.php?cPath=24&products_id=41 It's a great DVD if you are interested in learning more about Sayoc Kali. There is also a link from the main Sayoc site with seminar listings and school listings. If you have more specific questions about the DVD, you could ask them on the Sayoc Public Forum, also linked from www.sayoc.com. Although the electricity that passes from one sanapsis(?) connection to the next sanapsis connection in your brain is electricity.
