Jacobo who is a very skilled technician and fine comunicator in teaching Kali Ilustrisimo. Master Topher has always spoken of John's ability and skills with respect and that is enough of a recommendation for me. Hopefully one day we see John visiting Australia to teach in the future. Except from the Wikipedia : Under Synapse An electric synapse, unlike a chemical one, uses channels known as gap junctions to permit direct transmission of signals between neurons. Such synapses are found in the human body, within many organs. Last time I looked the brain is an organ Strongly suggest that you look up Coulomb's Law, the meaning of charge as applied to electron's held in the atomic structure. Also the amount of chemical electrical charge in the brain cell is determined by the amount of seretonic acid level in each cell. Technically speaking many chemical reactions involve electron transfer so it can be argued that there are only electrical synapsis. Something that you might find interesting is that scientists have grown dendrites on a single silken spider web thread. This has many implications as I am sure that you will understand." I see where you are coming from! I have never heard of anybody referring to gap junctions as "electrical synapses" nor could I find the term in any literature except Wikipedia. They do use it and I concede the point. And yes, gap junctions exist in the brain. I am not sure that I understood the rest of it. I did concede that electric currents pass along nerve axons.
