Dave Wong asked, "Can this be confirmed?" My thoughts: In today's tournaments, with so many categories and divisions to choose from, it is quite possible for a school, ANY school, to send a small contingent of fighters, say 12, to a tournament and have each one take first place. We could call that a "sweep". That is probably what GT Leo Gaje is saying... That each PTK Pitbull beat everyone they faced --in their divisions. But for one contingent to beat everyone participating in a tournament? Near impossible! No one system, no matter how good, has a monopoly on talent and warrior mentality. USFMAF (United States Filipino Martial Arts Federation) is currently working with Disney to hold an FMA tournament in Disneyland (Anaheim CA) in February 2007 and then another one in Disneyworld (Orlando, Florida) in October 2007. After that, Disney Tokyo? These Disney-sponsored tournaments will probably eventually end up to be the largest tournaments in the world. The Maryland Pitbulls, and all "mabagsik" are cordially invited. Tuhon Bo Sayoc has finally decided to put out some VCD's on his Finger Touch System. This is a system of emptyhand self defense that has to be experienced to be believed. We would like to invite everyone to come to the KBS System website (www.kbs-system.com) and check out the information on Tuhon Bo's Finger Touch System. There are several video clips showing putdowns, and there is an article written on Finger Touch that attempts to explain why it works as it does. We will look forward to comments and questions on the System. Off the top of my head, here are some (not all) FMA instructors of note in the Greater San Francisco Bay Area, plus Sacramento and Stockton. Decide on the style you'd like to learn, look up the instructor's location on the Net, then be willing to travel outside of "The City" itself to get to the school or style of your choice. For simplicity, I'm listing them alphabetically and without their titles. I also took a stab at the art they practice (no guarantee as to accuracy). These are just some of the people I'd like to get interviewed for the FMA Digest special issue on NorCal which will eventually find its way into the FMA Museum in the Philippines.
