I was present at ALL of the tournaments. In fact, I have ALL tournament results. These results will soon be available in the official WFMAA website at http://www.Worldfma.com .... Anyways, getting back to the rumors. I can only tell you that THERE WAS NOT ONE GROUP (school, organization, or team) THAT TOTALLY DOMINATED THE TOURNAMENTS. IN FACT, THERE WAS NOT ONE GROUP THAT WON ALL DIVISIONS. Again, you will be able to confirm these in the website soon. ..." Guro Andy Wilson is the owner of the Seattle branch. I've been currently training there for the past year and a half. Grandmaster Tony Somera (Giron Arnis Escrima) is coming for a seminar this weekend 9/16-9/17. or an affiliate of ours NW Kali/JKD : www.nwkali.com I trained there for over a year also. This school is owned by Sifu Chris Clarke (also a student of Guro Dan Inosanto). Both are great schools. There are also other FMA schools in the Seattle area. We at MKG are a mixed martial arts school training in Kali, JKD, Muay Thai, Savate, BJJ, CSW/Grappling, Boxing, Panantukan, Bahala Na Escrima. Let me know if you have any questions, I'll see what I can find out for you. And I am fortunate that we are family! Regarding your pros, cons, and misconceptions in tournament fighting, I agree with you. All -- Regarding the match at Luneta Park, someone had sent me the clip, saying it was a six minute match. I sent off a private email to GP Baet kidding him about it. I told him that either his opponent was very, very good, or he (Gat Puno) was slipping! It turned out that the ENTIRE match was six seconds, with the actual exchange of strikes lasting about two to three seconds if you counted the pause between the disarm (which happened in the first split second of contact) and the final strike before the other GM's stepped in to stop the fight. Now that's the Abon I know!
