Reply-To: eskrima@martialartsresource.net Hey Rocky, It's quite long time since the last correspond here at ED discussion. Nice to see you post again partner. I would rank this Lubid(Rope) as equal or more effective than the stick, you will only lost the thrusting techniques. Lubid acan be utilized the techniques used in "Latigo" of the "Whip". Lubid can be thrown weapon, or a Yoyo type of snapping teckniques. Plus, the Lubid that I used is supposed to be have two 6 oz. weight on each end, either rock, metal that weaved right in the end of the Lubid, but the one I am using right now is 1 1/3 Inches in diameter with 6 oz. copper coil in both end of the my rope. I used the Manila Rope, it give a lot of pride on my waist, the name alone is Filipino signifies that originated in the Philippines. Where they were famous of the "Nilad" Hemps, that is why they call the place Maynila (May-Nilad) place for Hemps.
