The best stick I've bought so far is from Dog Brothers. I bought the Top Dog model. It's got the length and wieght to do the job. When I want to go lighter, I go with the hickory. **JASON COUTURE** ____________________________________________________________________________________ Expecting? I have a pair and will get more. These sticks are made of lexan and are great for training, the lexan comes in various lengths and are hollow which allow for impact pressure to dissipate through top and bottom. I have found a couple of draw backs; the sticks are very lite and are clear. The clear part can be addressed by applying colored tape to the ends. The lexan is very good for training and are very quick. I will use them for street too but prefer a heavier stick in the 30 to 32 inch range. I like hickory, but found that it can't take to much abuse, very hard wood and will break down after intensive use. Yakal and Bahai are very good choices for combat, very hard with nice heft Last is rattan, if you spend some time on the internet a supplier for rattan can be found is 8 to 10 lengths in various widths. I recommend heat treating after soaking in linseed oil for a couple of weeks. For more about this you can email me at mills.onellion@dom.com. I just remembered, east west martial arts is another very good source of rattan ----------------------------------------- CONFIDENTIALITY NOTICE: This electronic message contains information which may be legally confidential and/or privileged and does not in any case represent a firm ENERGY COMMODITY bid or offer relating thereto which binds the sender without an additional express written confirmation to that effect.
