I would hold off on purchasing the knife until your nephew actually gets to his permanent duty station. I wish him good luck and small troubles. --------------------------------- Don't pick lemons. He always gave total respect to his teachers Angel Cabales and Max Sarmiento, and made sure we all knew the importance of these two men in the evolution of Inayan Eskrima. I also have heard of and met more of Angel's "favorite students" than I can count...seems that there remains a lot of confusion in the ranks. These people should just be thankful for the golden opportunity they had to have trained with one of the legends of Eskrima, and be content with that. Kim Satterfield Midwest School of Eskrima In a message dated 4/9/2007 6:04:10 AM Eastern Daylight Time, eskrima-request@martialartsresource.net writes: I am not a student of Vincent's. I am Inayan! Mike did the right thing by creating his own system and did not attempt to take over something that was Angel's. Even tho Mike or Jimmy or Al would have been an excellent choice as the Grandmaster of CSE, it rightfully belonged to Vincent. Mike Inay knew this and accepted this and did the right thing by going off and doing his own thing, always giving full, complete and proper respect to Angel as someone that was important to his development as an exceptional Eskrimador. But he never lied to others or attempted to make them believe that he was Angel's best friend, best student, or best eating and drinking buddy... On the website itself, the retail price may be a bit above your budget, although there are definitely some there for under $100.00. Also, check out www.bladeart.com . If you go to the blade art site, call them and ask to speak to Seth. Tell him Abdon sent you, tell him what you want and what your budget is, and he will definitely hook you up. Also, all the best to your nephew!!! May he serve his country safely and proudly!!!
