Especially since we know that the Moros had a fighting art, and that the Spanish never taught them anything (as they were in constant battle with each other.) Hope the book is well researched and the sources extensively cited. ************************************** See what's free at http://www.aol.com. --__--__-- Message: 2 To: eskrima@martialartsresource.net (Eskrima) Date: Sat, 14 Apr 2007 10:25:48 -0700 (PDT) From: rterry@idiom.com (Ray) Subject: [Eskrima] yet another special CSE student Reply-To: eskrima@martialartsresource.net Back on the topic of how Angel Cabales had an obvious way of making all his students feel special, here is yet another excellent example. Taken from an email recently sent to me... > my understanding is that vincent cabales' title of master was honorary until > he finished training under darren tibon per angel's wishes. i have also > heard that darren is the person whom he taught all the secrets of the art as > he is the one who proved himself most loyal to angel and the art So now we see Jimmy and Kimball and Darren and Mark and how many others claiming that they were Angel's top student, his most loyal disciple. The one that he taught the "secrets of CSE". Yet he clearly and publicly left the art and the leadership of Cabales Serrada Escrima to Vincent.
