I could feel it. I think it might be my iliopsoas muscle. it seems to be a recurring injury. just wondering if anybody else has experience with this type of injury and any advice would be helpful. i have been getting massage on it and that helps. hope to hear from some of you. (Crippled Old Dudes of Eskrima) Society... the best advice I can offer is a good rub down with the best dit da jow that you can lay your hands on. Barring that, a bit of rest, a liberal application of frozen peas (best ice pack on the PLANET!!) and a near maximum dose of ibuprofen as often as your belly (and liver and kidneys!!) can take it! My shoulder is almost 18 months post surgery and it hurts just as bad now as it did the day before it was cut up. I have decided that it's just easier to accept the fact that age is creeping up on me and I had better make friends with over the counter pain killers. The fact it is a recurring injury suggests tendonitis, while the pop suggests a tear, or you may have progressed from tendonitis to a tear. It is important to determine which because the treatments can be quite different. Unfortunately, the only way to know for certain is an mri. There are several good websites you can google describing the respective injuries and treatments. When you have recovered, I would strongly suggest a strengthening and stretching program. If you have any questions, feel free to ask.
