BBQ Reply-To: eskrima@martialartsresource.net To All, A BBQ and sharing of FMA techniques happen this last Saturday, despite the on and off rain. It was hosted by Eskrima de Campo and FCS. The BBQ-gathering was great opportunity to get together in Duarte. Pedoy's Eskrima from San Diego did live steel demonstration and a good empty hand verse weapons. Filipino Combat Systems (FCS Kali), Galius Martial Arts, and Filipino Combat Judo LAMECO- Roger Agbolus & CPDS did a good empty hands- Combat Judo style on close quarters fighting. Master Felix Roiles and Guro Marc Lawrence of PAKAMUT did single stick demonstration complete with locks, chokes and throws. They also did empty hand verse single stick demonstrations. The food was great and the rain held off until after we were done eating. We got chance to talk because of the rain for while. After the rain quit, there was training/sharing sessions with a number of the groups like FCS & Eskrima de Campo. A thanks to FCS for invite, food and friendship. Largo Mano Combat Judo and Guro Rogers groups ASTIG LAMECO are two different groups. Eskrima De Campo JDC-IO was not selected this time to share and only played a supporting role for this event. Yes the demos were great and I will be posting pictures and video as soon as I can. My thanks go out to everyone who attended despite the on and off again rain. You have got to be pretty dedicated to come from so far away in the gloomy weather and still have smiles on all your faces. Til the next one.... The problem is that he is holding it upside-down. :) Ray Terry rterry@idiom.com --__--__-- Message: 7 To: eskrima@martialartsresource.net (Eskrima) Date: Mon, 24 Sep 2007 19:34:59 -0700 (PDT) From: rterry@idiom.com (Ray) Subject: [Eskrima] Sept 27 Reply-To: eskrima@martialartsresource.net The evening of Thursday, Sept 27 I will be leading a seminar/workout in Guadalajara, Mexico, in the Parque Morelos.
