So far, I have not found anything promising, so I was hoping that a post here might turn up some possibilities for me. If you know of a school, instructor or potential training partner in the area, please let me know. Thanks in advance for your help! For those who followed the ED thread here on martial arts in the Phil. including arnis and karate, with significant contribution from PG Mat Marinas, James Sy Jr., myself and a few others, you should enjoy this edition. You will read about many of the personalities and organizations we wrote about--including Latino Gonzales, Dionisio "Johnny" Carranza, Meliton Geronimo, Johnny Chiuten, Guillermo Lengson, Ernesto and Remy Presas, and many more. During the ED discussion, I mentioned that Johnny Carranza (the head of my shorin-ryu organization called Siete Pares) became an NBI (National Bureau of Investigation) agent, the Phil. counterpart of the FBI. I asked if anybody could confirm what i heard, that Johnny Carranza was killed in the line of duty as an NBI Agent. Nobody at ED could, but one of the articles confirms it.
