X at one point?), I have to say I'll be approaching it skeptically. Poking around a little, I see he says he was in HUMINT and has 147t trophies and medals in just about everything, but not much else. Anyone have any details on his military or martial arts bona fides? Or anyone who's met and/or trained with him? Just passing curiosity. Back in the early 60s when I got started, there weren't that many people doing it in the U.S. and it was easier to know a lot of the players. I'm okay with what he says, though, what I teach isn't much different. But it sounds like this is a main technique in his system and he uses it somewhat differently, which is fine. Don't know if I'd use it against a knife wielder, though, like he says. Reply-To: eskrima@martialartsresource.net Hello, I was wondering if we have any FMA group in Stambul Turkey? I have a big favor to ask, One of my relatives and the Son of the Paete Eskrimador Toting Baisas. Bobby Baisas a Crew member of the Princess Cruise Lines was Hospitalized in German Hospital, the company said he was in deep coma for five days now and the family is wondering if any hope for him to wake up and survved. Any help for the family of Maestro Toting Baisas is appreciated. The finger dart is a very effective technique when used as a stop hit or in conjunction with the whip kick (A J.K.D. staple) as implied by the instructor. I actually taught my wife to use a 5 finger jab from the closed guard if she was ever in a rape situation. It's a very comfortable move to pull off and yields a good amount of damage with little training. Not that I don't agree with Tom on a few points though. A well delivered front kick to an opponents thigh can impact with over 2000 pounds of force. Hardly worth discarding from your arsenal because of a high heart rate. It just comes down to your style of fighting and your amount of muscle memory and training. **************************************Check out AOL's list of 2007's hottest products.
