Yaw Yan workouts are indeed exhausting and will make you sweat like its raining. Sir Jay sure did maximized his visit here in RP. It's been a pleasure talking with him and I'd love to met him in person in the future. I sure did got much insights from him myself. To Sir Jay, thank you. James U. Sy Jr, jorge penafiel wrote: Hey Jay!!! Loved reading and looking at pictures of your recent Philippine trip write up. Yeah,,,always a pleasure indeed to be with old friends, classmates, and MA peers. The male bonding, nostalgia, and comraderie for sure got around everybody and though time flies during these short but memorable reunions, memories like you said are priceless. Same here my waist line has been expanding as well just staying home and smelling the home cooking for the x-mass holidays. Life in the fast lane and progress are but few of my favorite excuses (denial really) for not maintaining the "six-pack Abs" anymore. Those Yaw-Yan dudes, don't want to tangle with them in the streets of manila. Those long kicking makiwaras,,,ayyayay,, not for me man!! Looks deliciously shin painful..Vic Vargas, your judo instructor, - macho and was a ladies favorite then. Anyhow, rest-up and I'll see you one of these days. Regards.. I've read your Phil. Odyssey. Great! Thank you also for the call. I appreciate it very much. I've got many insights from you too Sir. BTW, the Yaw yaw people are also notorious with their scorpion kicks and the mountain storm kick (a roundhouse kick which chops downwards). God bless. James U. Sy Jr. jay de leon wrote: Master Jorge: good to hear from you. hope you enjoyed the holidays. your waistline will not expand just by your smelling home cooking, lol. you must be doing something more proactive. you don't want to tangle with those Yaw-Yan guys anywhere, including the ring. like muay thai practitioners, they are big on conditioning and toughening up. in reality, my friend Dino (in the pictures) would have made short work of this old geezer. vic vargas was a judo national champion and a no-nonsense judo instructor. i heard though that he went from action star (in the streets) to action star with the ladies--i had left for the US by then. may be rest in peace. see you hopefully this year. i am planning on going back to the phil in july for the 4th FMA Festival, insh'allah. jay de leon www.filipinofightingartsintl.com jorge penafiel wrote: Hey Jay!!!
