Records?? Reply-To: eskrima@martialartsresource.net Hello, I was fascinated by your instructor resume, just few question, did he taught more practitioner other than yourself? It's a nice resume, if he still alive I would like to learn from him. Did you learn everything from him, so you have the same resume? May I ask do you accept student right now, I am ready to learn from you, if you learned all of what he knows? There is only one problem, I have not planning to visit Philippines till next year, but I will keep your info. I also wondering why it take you so long to come out, from the dark, and what records need to be straight up, did anyone say bad thing about your instructor? What records is that, who holding the records? Just honest opinion, this is the first time I heard his names, and I am already hooked, I dont think need to straight any records at all. Live with it.. Reply-To: eskrima@martialartsresource.net GP Abon,,,,greetings Kapatid !! First off, my hats off and salutation to you for that Chef Instructor job at Le Cordon Bleu Culinary College. Way to go !! ED is proud of your accomplishments indeed. BTW, am one of the lucky few that had tasted and saw GP Abon in the kitchen and his food twice in separate occassions at his best friend and kabayan residence - Ama Guro Raffy Pambuan. He too is Head Chef of Universal Studios in Orlando, Florida. Both are also superb "Ice Sculptor" as well. I was there when they carved using a portable saw life size images of GM Ernesto Presas and GM Bobby Taboada in ice. What a spectacle act during the World Sokeship Council MA Hall of Fame event. FMA was very well represented that nite.. Anyways,,as always I like it when GP Abon speaks out what he 'see's and his thoughts on some of ED's FMA hot topics , i.e. this "Mcdojo Thread". His views and perspectives are words of wisdom to me that are well thought of, direct to the point, and carries some truth as well. He views things as it should be: give critiques but also build up on both the negative and positive. Bad or not, give the guy credit for trying and practicing our art and last, communicate if at all possible !! Regards other FMA street MA "humor " brought about,, gather it was a welcome break for the topic at hand before it got a bit too nagging and long again. At best, some learning and personal views came out and it was great. Guys (Jay, Maurice, Jun, Abon, etc. ) thanks for the witty pinoy street MA . Truth though, these made-up systems have been used and proven effective self defense tactics. I swear !! OK,,back to more brain storming- great ideas anyone??. How about "Tapado" - interested?? In Bisaya (Cebuano) we have a similar training method. This training is so rare that out of 10 people only 1 or 2 may pass (sometimes none) but passing the test you have to have great speed and thick skin... We call this training method as RONGBU (short for IRONG-BUang) or Crazy Dog (no pun intended for any dog brothers here). Running from it surely make your speed way past any levels of running. I mean, who wouldn't? One bite will definitely turn you to one...
