To: eskrima@martialartsresource.net Reply-To: eskrima@martialartsresource.net The statue of Lapu-Lapu in Makati (Makati Avenue corner Paseo de Roxas Avenue) does not carry a shield. That statue only has a kampilan, that goes from the ground all the way to his sternum. Something similar to the statue in Luneta, as seen here http://melovillareal.com/photoblog/2007/09/07/lapu-lapu-monument-in-luneta-pa rk/ RJ Garcia ----- Original Message ---- From: Ray To: Eskrima-Digest Sent: Wednesday, April 30, 2008 3:20:05 Subject: [Eskrima] Lapu-Lapu statue ? Which major statue of Lapu-Lapu is it where they have him holding a shield, but it is upside-down? The one in/near Luneta Park in Manila or the one in Cebu?
