But I bought my book in a national bookstore in the Festival Mall in Alabang, Muntinlupa City. I'd write some of it here, but my book was lost. But I do remember they spanish did make friends with other tribe. They used them to fight against Lapu-Lapu. Obviously, there weren't enough spanish. They either died of scurvy or some kind of sickness. But they did use the strategy of divide and conquer. They used other tibesman to fight LAPU-LAPU. The end result was LAPU-LAPU killed Magellan. I've got another problem though. I want to return to Manila and stay with my wife and daughter. The landlady doesn't want me around. I left Manila under bad circumstances. It seems my wife's family only wanted me to marry my wife to give them money. I'm not gonna do it. And rumors or cheese- miss,(How it sounds in tagolag) run rampit. And people believe it. Well I ran out of money, so me and my wife had to move in with her Aunt Edith and Uncle Dodong Cabiling. I wouldn't give any money. I had none at the time. So they kicked me out. I went to Rev. Greg Oculto's house to stay. I asked if I could stay with him and get things straightened out. He said Okay. I was there for maybe 2 months. I asked for marriage consuling. He said he wasn't gonna waste his time cause my wife is stubborn. Well, toward the end, his daughter was getting jeolous. She believed her father was paying more attention to me than her. Mirriam is completely immature. And she's 22-23 years old. Well for no aparent reason she attacked me. I as just shaving. The only sink in the whole house was in the kitchen. The stove was like in a 90 degree angle from the sink. So, all I did was dump my water down the sink and she attacked me. She threw hot boiling waster in my face. Then picked up the frying pan with fried fish in it and threw that at me. Then started beating me with the hot pan. Then got the pig pot of frash hot rice. Throwed it at me. Then hit me with the hot pan. Then took a glass pot lid and smashed it over my head. Started slashing and stabbing at me. I moved when she tried to stab my stomach. she cut my head and hands pretty badly. The blood started pouring from my wounds. I got made and I beat her ass. I only hit her 2-3 times. But that's what it took to make her stop. I didn't have much choice. know others have their own opinion. I can't run very good either. Cause like LAPU-LAPU I have a gimp left knee. It's to painful to run. Plus she would have followed me anyway. Next thing I know, I'm seeking police assistance. Nobody was around. I had little to no money. I was almost screwed. I only had 1,000 pesos on me at the time. So luckily I made it to the hospital and got stitched up. The following day I had to go to Muntinlupa Baranguy. I got there early so I talked to the Baranguy chairman. He said he would fix it. I told Teddy,(The Chairman), about the situation. Mirriam is old enough to show up by herself. But NOOO! She had her father with her and my wife's uncle in law, Dodong. They tried to accuse me of everything, even serious and haneus crimes. Mirriam even went to the hospital and did a rape kit. I never even touched her. I don't like her in that way. I thought we were friends and she turned on me. But Teddy ruled self-defense on my part. I was more injured then her. Now there are probably rumores spreading all over Alabang and Muntinlupa about me. My daughter is stuck there for now. I want to go back and study Arnis with Jojo. I'm lost. What should I do? And papers have to be signed to allow a child to travel with me. And she probably won't sign them. And the Bureau of Immigration is going to gauge me for money. I'm just lost. LL's warriors killed Magellan. Ever read Carlos Quirino's very popular Filipinos at War? His son, Cecil, helped put this whole story info perspective for me. All nations have their foundation myths. For the US they are stories like Washington chopping down the Cherry tree and then having to tell his father since "he could not tell a lie". Lots of stories about those back in history and they are often not entirely correct (or not at all correct), but seem to carry on and be retold over and over since it gives us pride in our country. LL killing Magellan himself is just one of those myths, most likely. At this point we will NEVER know for sure.
