Each with their own strengths and weaknesses. Rather than glorify them etc, I thought I could share the common threads they each have: - They don't use fancy titles. - They all treat their students with respect. - They all show humility. - They enjoy a laugh. - They set an example that what is difficult can still be done through hard work/perseverance. - They recognize a student's strength or weakness and work with that. - They are not afraid to use hard words to tell a student where they must improve. - They are willing to enforce push ups for lack of discipline/respect. - They are a student of the Martial arts before they are an instructor. This to me is also true of other martial artists I have met. Royce Gracie, Rodrigo Gracie and Bob Tabimina are very good instructors from what I have seen. They each showed me something that I have incorporated into my training/teaching, either small or large. - Scott _________________________________________________________________ Get the latest news, goss and sport Make ninemsn your homepage! http://windowslive.ninemsn.com.au/article.aspx?id=813730 --__--__-- _______________________________________________ Eskrima mailing list Eskrima@martialartsresource.net http://martialartsresource.net/mailman/listinfo/eskrima Subscribe or Unsubscribe: http://eskrima-fma.net Old digest issues @ ftp://ftp.martialartsresource.com/pub/eskrima Copyright 1994-2009: Ray Terry, MartialArtsResource.com, Sudlud.com Standard disclaimers apply.
