I think the same with striking power. the individual should be developed to gain great rotational core and grip strength, apart from fma practice. you are right that we should strike to develop the ability, as sport science says, we should have some specificity to meet our training goals. further, there is no better developer of grip strength than impact training. two cents thrown in the mix. gumagalang, grd --__--__-- Message: 2 From: "Marc MacYoung" To: Date: Tue, 18 Aug 2009 20:16:52 -0600 Organization: No Nonsense Self-Defense Subject: [Eskrima] Re: Marc Animal MacYoung in Seattle Reply-To: eskrima@martialartsresource.net >> Hey folks, I'm heading up to the Pacific >> North-wet >> I'm doing two different seminars. A three-judge panel of the 1st District Court of Appeal issued that explanation today for ordering the release last month of a Tallahassee man who had been charged with first-degree murder. The unanimous opinion may conflict with a 2nd District Court of Appeal decision in 2007. It denied “stand-your-ground” immunity to a Valrico resident because he shot a man who had retreated from his garage after an argument. A spokeswoman for Attorney General Bill McCollum said no decision had yet been made on seeking a rehearing or appealing to the Florida Supreme Court. --__--__-- _______________________________________________ Eskrima mailing list Eskrima@martialartsresource.net http://martialartsresource.net/mailman/listinfo/eskrima Subscribe or Unsubscribe: http://eskrima-fma.net Old digest issues @ ftp://ftp.martialartsresource.com/pub/eskrima Copyright 1994-2009: Ray Terry, MartialArtsResource.com, Sudlud.com Standard disclaimers apply.
