I checked out the page. At the "best chops in town" link, http://twincities.sidewalk.com/link/21022, they list "School of Chung Moo Doe". I seem to recall a lot of discussion about Chung Moo Doe on the net a few years ago. Lots of talk about it being a cult like organization with offerings for the grand instructor, etc. - -- Danny ------------------------------ From: Date: Thu, 6 May 1999 11:32:25 EDT Subject: the_dojang: WTF homepage "Emil J. I hate to tell you how many of the last one applied to people I know. :-) Oh, they are in PDF format so that everyone can see them (Acrobat is pretty universal), but there is less danger of things getting modified without my knowledge. You've been meaning to learn how to use them. You knew the day would come but it wasn't supposed to be yet! Your GM requests your presence after testing at his favorite restaurant. You are seated amongst him and the most dignified instructors. And they you are, unprepared. You look around and realize there are no forks..so what do you do? You see your master instructors reaching into their jackets and oh no, what do they have? Expensive, personalized chopsticks. And there you hold your wooden ones wrapped in paper. Are you supposed to break them apart. Should you excuse yourself and go to your car and get that plastic McDonalds fork hiding under the seat. You're mortified and they are all staring at you and smiling. What next. You could push your food around and feign a stomachache. But remember don't stab your food... that's a no no! (smile) Sites you might want to look at. I've seen people use techniques like this and get away with it. I've seen other use it once...and never again in the tourney. As a side note...you're a better MA than that. Finesse your techniques and let the people that have to use a crutch to 'win' - use it. They are only cheating themselves... Did it help/hinder? Any impressions? I gather that it is a strength/flexibility set of exercises, sort of like aerobics in slow motion. Aaron Harmon>>>>> ============================================================== Hi Aaron. I like my toys. I think I've tried just about everything out there (smile). Sold most of it too after I purchased it but the Pilates is a good piece of equipment. The Pilates machine was actually designed with the original intent of being a rehabilitative machine for injured ballet dancers and then became more popular with other sports enthusiasts. It isn't 'till recently that it's also becoming known as a work out machine. It's sort of like yoga on wheels. It's a great machine but I've felt I can also mimic quite a few of the exercises on a machine I have that is like the total gym concept. It does strengthen and help keep you limber and quite flexible. If you're interested in purchasing one here is a good website. http://www.qvc.com/scripts/Search.dll?Search jamaica_power@hotmail.com _______________________________________________________________ Get Free Email and Do More On The Web.
