In this art, you never bathe, brush your teeth or wash your uniform and jock. After about a month, you will have learned several self-defense techniques, such as the armpit flap. This causes your opponent to back away quickly. You earn your black belt when the stench of your foot passing under someone's nose causes them to drop unconcious immediately. Come to think about it, you will probably have a black jock as well.... - -- . . . and we feel the Force welling up from deep inside ourselves. And so we burp. My wife is telling me she is about to become a widow. My left leg buckled on me 7 weeks ago. The doctor treated me for a strained/torn medial collateral ligament (MCL) and my leg was placed into a cast. I also had a minor fracture of my right heel. The other day the cast was removed and I headed to a sports clinic because my leg did not feel right (sort of the sensation that the bottom half was/is not attached). I should have done this weeks ago. you know, if been thinking of asking around about sports med. clinics JUST IN CASE because what I hear about their diagnostics, treatment and overall approach has been just fantastic. These doctors told me that my left MCL was torn and casting was the correct treatment. What was not treated was separated cruciate ligaments, both the ACL and PCL. I was thrilled to hear that! They also told me there are tears in my right ACL and MCL (old injuries-never treated). Now I was really overjoyed. I can't imagine or even begin to. I am taking physio now trying to get some/all of my flexibility and strength back. I have been told NO kicking, jumping etc. until I have a functional brace. >> sorry to hear about these recent and successive disappointments. so much in such a small time frame can really wear you down. I did however think of something after reading all of your post. IF you think of a year as 12 months and not nec. Jan - Dec. it may still be possible to get your bb AT age 50. [slight change of preposition here] I assume that 50 for you is in June, right? well, surely between now and next June there will be other scheduled testings, you will have healed [fingers crossed, I'm not a doc.] AND your forms will still get their fair share of training time. Then if you didn't make it BY age 50 you could at least do it AT age 50 and in the millenium at that. Wishing you the best and applauding Jan for loving you enough to crack the whip.
