I suggest you have an MRI (which can show soft tissue injury) and follow up with an Orthopedist / Sports Medicine specialist for evaluation & treatment. Perhaps that "pop" was a result of something more minor >givign way. The "Pop" can be caused by the ligament or tendons "snapping" across the bone. It doesn't always hurt, and it doesn't aways have any bad effects (other than maybe it might eventually injure the protective layer on the joint). >Anyway, I'm taking the time off to let my knee heal since it >has not healed completely since the original injury last October. It usually takes an MRI to tell if the ligament is torn or severed. My knee was swollen for about 3 or 4 days, then pretty much normal except that I could not twist my leg without poping my knee out of joint. I also felt it hyper extend at times when walking. Not really painful, but uncomfortable... >From: Ken Howard >Date: Fri, 25 Jun 1999 16:58:57 -0500 >Subject: the_dojang: RE: Ligament Tears/Healing >Ligament tears may repair on their own but it is a slow process. In any case I see >the surgeon in the beginning of July and I'll see what happens then. I had the ACL go in my left knee and had surgery to use the patella tendon for a replacement. My leg is a bit more flexible than before ( probably due to the Physical Torture, er Therapy, after the surgery) and completely normal. I was 47 when it happened and took about 10 months to totally recover to the point where I would "try" jumping spinning kicks again... Note, I said "try"... I really never practice them much at all... I never used leg braces (other than for about 2 months after surgery) and really had a pretty easy time recovering. - -- - -- Tony Preston, Team *AMIGA*, Linux developer since 1996 - -- Custom Services, P. Does any one know if it contains the following forms: 1. Pyung Ahn forms 2. Chulgi forms 3. Baisi forms I have been looking for a book that contains all three of these sets of forms, but have had little luck finding one.
