None of us likes to spend medical money, but the lower part of the leg and foot are the most difficult to heal. A professional opinion and treatment are good advice for Chris. Then when healed he can protect the new skin to avoid reinjury. Well, I'm not absolutely certain what is "ordinarily expected" in tkd training since I practice Tang Soo Do ;>) However, we do have classes on the beach (Southern NJ shore) in the summertime, and we perform basics and forms in ankle deep sugar sand and waist to chest deep ocean (waves can be higher) This makes for some interesting balance and endurance challenges, NTM the distraction of the scrutiny of strangers. Some class members skip these workouts because of potential embarassment. Since I'm a natural introvert, I welcome (well, sort of) these opportunities to minimize that attribute. Two years ago, I took my 2 gup test on the beach. In addition to the stuff mentioned above, my instructor forgot (or so he said) to bring staffs, so I had to do bo defenses and forms with an imaginary weapon. === Tang Soo!
