Seriously? *whimpers in pain* Some MORONS, whom shall remain nameless for the time being because I don't remember their names... WOULD NOT MOVE, and thus forced me to move up... and when I kick, I cover distance good, especially with jump kicks even though my aerial needs some working. Okay, now, if you see someone in the front line for a crowded room having to back up after every kick, and you see for a fact that they cover good distance, would you back up out of courtesy? I would. Nailing a doorknob perfectly is not the best thing to feel... so as some kind words of advice from someone who now has a badly sprained/possibly broken toe, if you see someone doesn't have space, give it to them. There IS no such thing as revenge... really, there ISN'T... I'm sitting out two weeks at max before going back into class. I can't put my full weight down on my foot yet, and it's got some good internal bleeding showing. I have shades of green, blue, red, and purple going on... and you can almost discern the shape of the doorknob. Joy... barrels of fun... considering I have to sit at home and limp around the house thinking of all the sweating going on over at Trent Gym and the fact I can't join in because I was considerate for other people and smacked the hell out of my own foot for it. There isn't much space in that room, but come on.... it's painful just thinking about what everyone else is doing and not being able to join in, considering that I think this is the best thing I ever dove into headfirst (almsot literally). Any consolation or advice can be posted on the list or sent to me personally. *sticks foot in tub of hot water* === Kim Jones (ladytimberland@yahoo.com) Webpage - http://members.tripod.com/NekoChan00/ AOL IM - OmegaKage IcQ - 46316779 (Timberland Monk) _________________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? With my best friend being an instructor within the GTF as well, I know how much time, effort and dedication they put in and how in depth they strive to believe in and live by the tenets and commandments, as do I. "As a member of the Global Taekwon Do Federation I shall be loyal and trustworthy" therefore I would not question my instructor as a matter of loyalty, trust and respect, and as he is a black belt I know that he practises what he preaches. "Do" often translated as either method or way of life, therefore "to act in the true spirit of TKD" would incorporate all of the tenets and commandments and mean that you try to live like that in your everyday life, including charging your trusting students reasonable fees!!!! After all, how much can you really learn from an instructor you don't trust?? Ken << 5 hours per week = 20 hours per month, or a whopping $3.25/hr rate being charged. After a few years of participating in these forums and listening to the wide variety of opinions on schools and instructors I was wondering what situation(s) or actions would it take for you to consider changing instructors or GM's. We seem to run the gamut of Instructors like Master Silz that have an intense loyalty to their GM and to others that have moved around. (Master Silz this is meant as a statement and compliment.) I realize this is a hypothetical question since we never know where our breaking points are but I just offer this as food for thought. It can often be a series of events that lead up to a change. But even instructors and GM's change over time. Is this something that you would even consider doing? Thanks. _______________________________________________________________ Get Free Email and Do More On The Web. Awhile back we had a good thread on what to do for nosebleeds. I just came across this information which I hadn't heard before.. The quickest way to stop a nosebleed is to soak a cotton pledget with Afrin (oxymetazoline hydrochloride) nasal spray, gently insert it into the nose, and apply steady pressure to the nose with the thumb and forefinger. This will stop most nosebleeds in short order. _______________________________________________________________ Get Free Email and Do More On The Web.
