What are you trying to achieve as a martial artist and as a person? Mine is to better myself in spirit and physically. I want to know all there is in tkd and other arts. My spirit I want to better myself to eliminate hate and anger in my life. I know it is a vertially impossible task, but to not go out of a person's way to hurt someone and to discuss things without becoming angry is something I want to achieve and can try to do. I also love bup ju, completely impossible to get here, and soju, which I can get. OB doesn't seem to have a nation-wide importer. If it does, maybe somebody around Nashville can pick up the label. Good point. But once a specific thread starts going in circles, as this one obviously did, it is time to move on. Else we digress into what happens on those lists that are unmoderated, tons of email saying nothing more than "yes it is, no it isn't". >> lol. i hear ya. just sounded silly, so i commented. i'm so far behind on my e-mail. it's kinda hard to catch up on the digests too....depressing to read the other one with all the fighting going on. melinda ------------------------------ From: GGDodge@aol.com Date: Wed, 25 Aug 1999 23:36:22 EDT Subject: the_dojang: Re: The_Dojang-Digest V6 #421 Hi, I'm looking for books on Tang Soo Do, can any body recommend some good ones? It will probably be in a location in the same town near to another school (I don't have any choice, there isn't a town in a 100 mile radius that doesn't have at least one MA school). The last flyer that i had picked up was dismal, It was black and white with a hand-drawn TKD'er doing a side kick with a list of times of classes in various sport centres around the district. No particular mention of the instructor style/purpose/association. No aspect of training singled out as to why anyone would want to train in TKD. I was just wondering what everyone thought attracted a person/people to become MA.? Any postings will be much appreciated.
