The university is up the hill, the MDKwan is one street the other direction. There are pictures of it, outside and in, on http://www.martialartsresource.com, down near th bottom of the Korean links. << Well, well, that's definitely the place then. My office is very close to SukmyOng university. As soon as I saw the picture, I recognized the place. Strange that my place of work should be near the only Dojang is Seoul for TSD... can I hear the sound of whispers on the wind??? Next question. Has it always been at that location or has it ever moved? >> Master K.Y. Seen was the instructor the several times I visited there. GM Hwang Ki's office was on the third floor, but the door was always closed. Master Seen's business card gives the address as 59-3 Nahmyoung-dong, Yongsahn-goo, Seoul 140-160. << I have been past the dojang a couple of times (I was looking for a Komdo dojang which is nearby), but I don't think I saw Master Seen. As far as I can remember, the students were all relatively young (from my perspective...). In just the month of August we had visits from the following countries (in no particular order); Australia, UK, Malaysia, Canada, Finland, Norway, Singapore, Sweden, Belgium, Mexico, Netherlands, South Africa, Italy, New Zealand, South Korea, Spain, Germany, Denmark, Switzerland, France, United Arab Emirates, Chile, Thailand, Indonesia, Brazil, Poland, Greece, Argentina, Ireland, Austria, Taiwan, Pakistan, Colombia, Portugal, Czech Republic, and USA. << Do you collate figures, such as who posts from the most obscure place, who is the most boring, etc... ;-) Seriously, it would be nice to know who was contributing the most. Has it always been at that location or has it ever moved? It has been there for several years, but before moving there it was at the original location which was almost adjacent to the Seoul City Train Station, just to the south. Do you eat at the Hardies just south of the university subway stop? :) Ray Terry raymail@hpwsrt.cup.hp.com ------------------------------ From: Stan Lim Date: Wed, 08 Sep 1999 09:37:25 -0700 Subject: the_dojang: Re: USTU Website Project From: Gregg London >... Simple to use, and it invites participation from anyone and everyone. Lets hope the USTU doesn't tell you not to use their graphics as I see you've made good use of them :-) Thank you for taking the initiative, Mr. London. Kamsahamnida.
