Trying to switch days of attendence, or the people you partner with, perhaps going for a long distance roadrun instead of one class can help. We know that it seemed to have helped us. Fisk" Date: Fri, 08 Oct 1999 12:30:20 +0800 Subject: the_dojang: Korean terms Thanks for the help on Korean terms. Someone mentioned that even though the skills are similar, somewhere along the line theof evolution names changed, albeit not drastically. I'll try to compile what I can, and I'd like to thank everyone for helping me out. By the way, hopefully this will be a simple question. A student asked me how to defend against someone running up from behind (victim is unaware of assailant and keeps walking forward rather than turning) and snatching her purse/handbag (shoulderstrap over right shoulder). What would you do? I couldn't think of anything except letting go to avoid a possible confrontation. Any ideas? Could I suggest you start wearing > steel toed boots to class? That way....you won't have to visit the ER > again....but the rest of the class might have to. LOL! AHHHHHHHH! No! Not my steel-toed boots! LOL! But on a serious note, I think when I return to class, I'll have my TKD shoes on. I'm so paranoid becuz I almost always end up in the front of the room... first the doorknob (which probably did break my left middle toe), now this???? I already knew that you're not supposed to kick your instructor... *winces* But I pay no money to see the podiatrist because I'm a military dependent... if I was civilian, I'd have to fork over money after going to the ER... the beauty and benefits of being a military dependent. :) But I'm making a trip to the podiatrist anyways so I'll have a good idea to see if anything's really broken or not... the lady at the ER laughed rather evilly when she looked at my x-rays... *shivers* ===== Kim Jones (ladytimberland@yahoo.com) Webpage - http://members.tripod.com/NekoChan00/ AOL IM - OmegaKage IcQ - 46316779 __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!?
