Combat Hapkido trapping may not be as in depth as this is but it is there and the foundation is growing with each new understanding. Mike Rowe Thank you for the explanation. My problem is that Yip Man said BL never got far enough in training to learn the Wing Chun traps...oh well, they are there and a "new" martial art is formed. b ------------------------------ From: WriorDragn@aol.com Date: Tue, 12 Oct 1999 20:55:08 EDT Subject: the_dojang: looking for info Hello all, I have been subscribing to the Digest for a bit now, and have thouroughly enjoyed all the info that has been discussed. I am currently looking for any links to web pages/sites that have information about any kind of martial art. I have been studying for over 15 years now and love to study and research all systems of martial arts. If anyone can be of assistance, I would greatly appreaciate it. I really don't know much about martial arts yet, but am interested. But I don't really want to compete, I just want to be able to defend myself if I have to. I especilly don't want to go to prison. It's not that I want to beat people up, I just don't want to be beat up. Does that make sense? I'm not sure what I want to study. there are so many choices and everyone says they are the best. One person told me it was the instructor more than the style, he said I should find a good instructor. That makes sense, so I will see. If a cat can change directions in the air i suppose a human could too. The only time I think I would that use kick is to get over something or knock a man off a horse or top of something. I am still not really sure what the purpose of this kick is for yet. If it is just for show I wish it would get deleted from the cirriculum. Donna - -- NO!! My cycle doesn't leak! The unlucky one stood there in amazement as the attacker Jeremiah Lemond came at him from the other side of the ring. Victor Luke scored it by first landing a punishing back kick which knocked his opponent backwards, and then while his opponent was still regaining his balance and composure, he landed the jumping side kick. Knocked his opponent right into the judges table. Mind you, Victor is one fast player. Not a lot of people could do that. Steve Alexander To win 100 victories in 100 battles is not the highest skill.
