For the exercise experts out there, two questions... (1) I understand that the behind-the-neck military press is now not in favor. Is that the case? Why? (2) I had heard years ago that seated leg/knee extensions (where you sit down, put your feet/ankles in a machine, and then extend your legs) were too hard on your knees and should not be done. Now I'm hearing from my trainer (who also trains several members of the San Jose Sharks pro hockey team) that those knee extensions are ok. What changed? The biggest value behind a detailed, signed waiver is that the signer cannot go to court and claim that s/he was unaware of any potential dangers. My waiver says clearly that there is risk of substantial serious injuries and that the student or the parents are aware of this risk and choose to participate anyway. It's hard to argue that they don't know about it with their signature there on the form. You can't stop them from suing you, but you can sure make it hard for them to collect! ------------------------------ From: Ray Terry Date: Fri, 5 Nov 1999 14:42:55 -0800 (PST) Subject: the_dojang: slow...
