I also tested recently for cho dan (October 23) and will be receiving my new rank on December 16. After a two month wait I think I'm a little over eager to get promoted but it is a good lesson in patience. For a while, there were two of us in the same organization, with the same Grandmaster teaching in the same town. Then, the other instructor left our group, but continued to operate his school. The noncompete clause stated that if they left the organization they could not instruct within 50 miles any of our schools. To keep a long story a little shorter, the Grandmaster never did anything about it, and when asked why, he said that the only way it could be inforced is if the guy who left was teaching everything exactly as was required under our organization. I don't know how legally accurate the Grandmaster's statement was, but that is how it happened. ------------------------------ From: "Lady Black" Date: Fri, 03 Dec 1999 23:27:30 EST Subject: the_dojang: Our Children and Concentrating Mike, Speaking of concentrating, isn't it fantastic how the ability to concentrate carries over the other parts of their/our lives?
