I think in our school probably 2/3 continue to train, at least among adults. I'm not as in touch with a lot of the kids, and know that sometimes getting their probationary bb or 1st degree coincides with things like graduating HS and moving away. You are onto something about the difference in spirit, but it is not an overnight thing. Getting your black belt changes you but not so drastically as all that. Just getting that far requires a certain amount of spirit and dedication and focus. - -- tokay@netwurx.net http://www.netwurx.net/~tokay ICQ 39586040 ------------------------------ From: "A. If I hadn't made a resolution to never make another resolution, this would be the year I'd resolve to investigate T'aekkyun. As I may not resolve to do that I guess I will have to *decide* to do that. The New Year's Eve events here was blessed by the weather and although apparently not deemed worthy of international attention by CNN was actually quite a spectacle. ALiens landed, famous golfers attacked the masses of people. A perfect new year's baby was born at the push of a button. It was truly a miracle. Enjoy your celebrations! Remember to save some enthusiasm for next year when all of these events should really be held. ===== Anthony BT Boyd: Swordsman and English Teacher For illumination on this curious occupation please follow this link: http://victorian.fortunecity.com/operatic/739 ICQ#: 45348443 __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!?
