You are not wrong, my friend. For February and March, Kukkiwon officials have moved the cho-dan test day to Saturday at 2pm in the afternoon instead of having it at Sunday at 9am. In addition to moving the test date (this is temporary), they have added the prerequisite of doing basic movements in basic stances before the two forms, then the two forms, and then sparring TWO people instead of one. Of course, they'll still call the commands in Hangul. These changes, like I said, are temporary and trial-based. I dont' know if this is what you're referring to, but if it is, I hope I shed a little light. (On a side note, my sabomnim is letting the red belts decide whether they want to test in March on Saturday on in April on Sunday. I'm going for Sunday in April.) ===== ~~Kim Jones *ladytimberland@yahoo.com* ICQ: 52828008 AOL: Lady Timberland "I've kept the rain falling down on me all the time." ~Roxette, "The Rain" __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? I want to see it live from my home, I hope at least pay-per-view is available >> I e-mailed them about a month ago regarding the Olympic Team Trials; and they replied that they're "looking into" a broadcast. A campaign of letters or e-mail couldn't hurt. I, too, would like to see a real broadcast of TKD. The webcast last weekend would have been terrific except that we had no idea who was competing at any given time. For instance, they had Kay Poe's TKO and we saw it, but weren't sure it was Kay. (The camera people apparently didn't know a lot about TKD; but they DID give us pics -- and for that I'm grateful.) Good commentary would have added a lot. At any rate, send those cards and letters. They do read them and will, hopefully, respond by getting TKD on the air. The swords start at $750.00 and are custom made in Korea and come with documentaion to prove it. I have not ordered one yet, but I have searched high and low and this by far is the most promising place to get a sword made in Korea. Other than this Septagon Metal arts would be the next place for a "real" sword. Kris cutlery is now offering a Korean sword, straight blade and wrapped handle for about $175.00. Good sword for the money, sharp, fast and balanced but I don't kow how traditional it is. I have been off the list for about a year and it is good to be back. I train in Moo Gong Do a art founded by Grandmaster Dae Yong Kim, I both teach and train in Vermont under Gyo Jung Nim Steven Blair and have been training for 4+ years. I love my training and am a life long student of myself. I hope this helps, sorry I am web tver and don't know how to make a url link in my notes.
