Before it was about ho kwon and hwardo. Now its about a form I saw in a movie, dont laugh, called Cosmic wave. What interested me is that this "form" contained moves and mudra's from esoteric systems and I was wondering if this is a real form and some basic history or background. The movie was dubbed in english from japanese so it may have been a inaccurate translation. There is a skill called cosmos palm, but these may be two different things. Thanks in advance. Dear Todd, Apologies for the late response, but I have been very busy of late and haven't had time to read non-essential emails (I have nearly 100 outstanding :-(. A little while ago :-), you wrote: >> I also believe that the closer you get to the source the better off you are. << But that denies that others who come after the founder might be better, or have improved on the art in directions not explored by the founder. For instance Ueshiba Morihei Sensei is the founder of Aikido, but you (by your criteria above) would not want to train with him because he merely(sic) adapted and added to Daito-ryo Aiki-jujitsu. The more historically astute might want to insert different names to Koreanize the above example ;-) Given the limits most people have on finances and time, I think it is more beneficial to try and find someone who appears competent to you and who adds to your skill as a martial artist. Martial arts (as recorded in books, and less so in videos) are rather dead and empty things, it is people who bring them to life with varying degrees of success. Just my thoughts.
