It includes both the insurance and the student's subscription to the Association quarterly magazine, among other things. ------------------------------ From: "hkdhal" Date: Tue, 29 Feb 2000 16:17:17 -0800 Subject: the_dojang: Hapkido Mooyekwan The opening of our latest branch of Hapkido Mooyekwan will be opening march 4th ,With an open house between the Hours of 10:30 -3:00 there will be demonstrations from Shotokan,Kenpo,Hapkido each art is taught by an instructor that has a minimum of 20 years. The class's will begin on Monday the 6th. Please be patient. With regards to color belts, my hapkido jinjungkwan dojang in Bangbae, Seoul, Korea originally used white, yellow, blue, red, black. Then, when Master Myung-Il Kim came, he eventually eliminated yellow. It became white, blue, red, black. Instructor can choose whatever belt colors they like, but Korea Hapkido Federation set their curriculum by Kup (Keub). Korea Hapkido Federation does not issue Kup certificates since Kup ranks are not officially recognized. Kup rank seems to be preparatory for dan rank. In Korea, the only evidence in rank promotion prior to black belt are color belts (please excuse the grammar).
