Female violence toward males is often not thought to be common because many guys would not say that a woman had hit them, and thus there are few reported instances of it. Besides, many men have been taught to just 'shrug it off', even for something that is serious. Ms. Survey: 1 in 4 women were victims of rape or attempted rape 84% knew their attacker 57% happened on dates Date/Aquaintance rape is by far the most common type of rape for women. These are almost never reported to the police. So we can also say that rape is seldom reported by women. Men are raped. According to "I Never Called It Rape" by Robin Warshaw. Some experts estimate that 10% of rape victims coming to rape crisis centers are men. Almost all of them have been raped by other men. According to "I Never Called It Rape" by Robin Warshaw. Ok... But we were talking violence in general, NOT a specific type of violence and there is no reason to go there on this list. Women on men violence is common. And yes, men on women violence is even more common. That is the point, nothing more. Is there a method to soften it up, so that it stays tied better, and is it appropriate to do so? Thanks much. >> hey Jack, What I usually do with my new belts is give them a good wringing with my own hands, scrunching it up and pulling it and squeezing it, just basically using the belt as a tension ball 8). Focusing mainly on the area where the belt is actually tied helped me out a lot in making my belt soft. Hope this helps. Arthur PS. that thing about black belts tying their belts to their cars sounds kinda crazy to me melinda... 8) ------------------------------ From: ChunjiDo@aol.com Date: Fri, 24 Mar 2000 21:38:12 EST Subject: the_dojang: Re: ken's test In a message dated 3/24/00 3:15:35 PM Pacific Standard Time, the_dojang-owner@hpwsrt.cup.hp.com writes: << I now have my Belt and I will appreciate some time off work to rest/recover etc. >> way to go, ken! sounds like you deserve a good rest :). melinda ChunjiDo -pe rsonal homepage http://hometown.aol.com/chunjido/homehtmlindex.html Chajonshim Martial Arts Supply - business page http://hometown.aol.com/chajonshim/ma4sale.html Paidforsurf.com - - Main - get paid 75cents/hr to surf the net...i do!
