It is a great tournament for anyone in the Midwest area. The high school we have it at has a sunken floor so all the spectators can see all the action. I have included the link, if you need more information just email and we can get that out to you. Would be great to meet some of the people that post on here. It sounds like you guys had a lot of fun. My name is Chris and I am an assistant instructor at the home school. You really soaked up that information like a sponge. I'm impressed with your attention to detail. Your formatted text did not show up, so for anybody that is interested the Tai Chi instructor was Dr. Dennis Chua from Singapore. Are you a student of Professor Chavez in Dallas? kamsahamnida Chris H. ------------------------------ From: SunBiNim@aol.com Date: Thu, 11 May 2000 12:35:43 EDT Subject: the_dojang: Re: Han Mu Do Seminar, etc. In a message dated 5/11/00 9:56:18 AM Central Daylight Time, Kirk Wilson writes: << Master (UNKNOWN) from Singapore >> That was Dr. Dennis Chua, a great martial artist who knows how to laugh. The full names of some of the other instructors were Master Diego Perez from GM Jhoon Rhee's organization, Professor Sergio Chavez, who is a WTF International referee and Master Jee Ho Lee, who did an excellent job of translating GM Im's Korean into quite understandable English. GM Im, (or Lm) Dong Kyu translated the Moo Yea Do Bo Ton Ji while in prison, and his sword and staff techniques are awesome. I had the opportunity to train at his outdoor dojang in Korea a few years ago and was extremely impressed with the quality of his students. I read the digest and realize how lucky I am when I see that some instructors don't want their students to train with others, while mine brings in so many from other systems at the seminars he hosts. If anyone out there would like to see what this is all about, you are welcome to join us in Baton Rouge this November, or find Doju Kimm during his current tour...England on the 20th and 21st, etc. Steve Kincade ------------------------------ From: MichaelChoi@aol.com Date: Thu, 11 May 2000 13:14:09 EDT Subject: the_dojang: change in my email address My email address has changed to All of you who want to personally correspond with me, please send your emails to that address. I took a little study break today and caught up looking at a couple of the last issues. It was great to see a little from Loren Christensen's new book "Fighters Fact Book" that will be released through Turtle Press. Loren is very knowledgeable, and many of you have seen me endorse some of his books on certain areas before. This new book looks like it will be a good one, and I recommend everyone take a look at Rick's E-zine and Loren's "Fighters Fact Book." I'm looking forward to reading the entire book myself. BTW: Loren also has an article in the Martial Arts Training magazine that is on the stands now. Rick, keep up the great work!
