I suspect BBC and ITV will concentrate on the usual athletics, gymnastics and swimming... Eurosport maybe? Sky sports? Anybody know? Donnla. >> You are probably much luckier in the UK than here in the US. I find it amazing, that there are so many competitions and so many talented athletes going for gold, and that here in the US, we get to see only a few of them....and usually only the American athletes and their 'history'. TKD will probably have a run of about 5 minutes at 3 AM. For past Olympics, I have stayed up to try to catch Judo and TKD in the weeee hours, but now I dont think that even my expanded cable will have any coverage.....time to make good friends with a satelite dish owner. They are both cute as a button. The little boy has been diagnosed with an oppositional behavior disorder and is not on meds. He has come a long way in classes. The other day, the little boy--I'll call him Johnny--punched another kid at pre-school. His foster mother had to file an "incident" report and the foster care agency made the foster mom pull both kids out of my Taekwondo classes. For his transgression, he suffered consequences from both his foster mother and from me, for not abiding by his student oath ("I shall never misuse Taekwondo"). All my students are warned in advance that they are not to use their skills in an aggressive manner outside classes, though they are allowed to use them to defend themselves. The foster mom believes, as I do, that the martial arts does not foster aggressive or violent behavior, but rather serves to help us "conquer" (a better word escapes me at the moment) that need for violence and aggression. Now we need to go prove it to the Foster Care agency. Do any of you have any research or resources you can recommend that would help us present this case to the agency? I appreciate any help you can give me!
